Flybe puts its first Embraer ERJ 175 into revenue service

Flybe (Exeter) took delivery of its first two Embraer ERJ 175s (ERJ 170-200STDs) (G-FBJA and G-FAJC) on November 23, 2011. Flybe celebrated the delivery of the first two aircraft with a traditional water canon salute by the Exeter Airport Fire Service on the arrival at the Exeter base.

Flybe announced at the Farnborough Air Show in July 2010 that it had signed a major aircraft deal with Embraer for up to 140 of their E-series aircraft, comprising 35 firm orders for Embraer E175s, with options and purchase rights for a further 105 E-series aircraft.

Flybe now has committed financing of approximately $500 million for the first 20 new Embraer E175 regional jet aircraft.
