JetBlue pilot is restrained on a New York-Las Vegas flight after reaching for the door at altitude

JetBlue Airways (New York) flight 191 from New York to Las Vegas yesterday (March 27) was far from normal. The flight had to make an emergency landing at Amarillo, TX after the captain had a mental breakdown and was shouting in the main cabin that the flight was going down and was seen reaching for the main door while cruising at 35,000 feet. The large frame male captain was restrained by the flight attendants and passengers and was restrained outside of the locked cockpit. The first officer completed the emergency landing. The captain was taken away by the Police.

The aircraft involved in the incident was newly-delivered Airbus A320-232 N796JB (msn 5060).
