United Airlines adds Doha, Qatar to its route map today

United Airlines (Chicago) today launched daily service between its Washington hub, Dulles International Airport, and Doha, Qatar, via Dubai.

The extension of the existing Dubai service to Doha is the first of three new, previously announced United services from Washington Dulles. The airline will introduce nonstop service between Dulles and Manchester, U.K. tomorrow, and between Dulles and Dublin, Ireland, on June 7.

United operates the Washington/Dulles-Dubai-Doha service with Boeing 777-200 ER aircraft, which has a total of 269 seats – eight in United Global First, 40 in United BusinessFirst® and 221 in United Economy®, including 108 Economy Plus® seats with added legroom.

Doha is the fourth city in the Gulf region United serves. With nonstop or one-stop service also to Dubai, Kuwait City and Bahrain from Washington/Dulles, United serves more destinations in the Gulf region and Middle East than any other U.S. carrier.
