Eritrean Airlines (Asmara) has introduced this colorful new livery. Boeing 767-238 ER E3-AAQ (msn 23309) was rolled out at Shannon with the new look. E3-AAQ is being brought back to flying status after being stored.
Under new Pakistani management, Eritrean resumed operations on July 16, 2011 with an Airbus A320 which introduced this new livery. The first A320 (operated by Nouvelair) operated the newly inaugurated service from Asmara to Lahore, Dubai, Cairo, Rome, Jeddah, and Khartoum. A second A320 will be added in October 2011. The company also plans to restore domestic services in Eritrea once the currently stored Dornier fleet is made airworthy again. It is unclear how this restored Boeing 767 will be operated. Will services to Frankfurt be restored?
