Baltia Air Lines’ first Boeing 747 is painted and flying

Baltia Air Lines (New York-JFK) has been one of the longest-running start-ups. The company has painted its first Boeing 747. Formerly operated by Northwest Airlines as N623US, 747-251B N706BL (msn 21705) has become the first aircraft for the new airline now undergoing FAA certification.

Once the Part 121 AOC is obtained, the airline intends to inaugurate nonstop passenger service from New York (JFK) to St. Petersburg, Russia. Baltia plans to expand later to Moscow, Kiev, Riga, and Minsk.
