ASL Aviation Holdings to exercise options for 10 additional Boeing 737-800 converted freighters

ASL Aviation Holdings has decided to exercise 10 options for additional Boeing 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters.

The first (F-HIQB, msn 33641) entered service with ASL Airlines France in January 2021.

The second is due to enter service with K-Mile Asia this month.

K-Mile Air, operating as K-Mile Asia, was established in 2004 as Thailand’s first express freight airline. Initial operations began in 2006 with a Boeing 727 freighter between BKK and SIN. The fleet subsequently expanded to 3 such aircraft. These aircraft have since been retired in 2013.

In March 2014, Farnair Switzerland took a 45% stake in K-Mile Air. Since then ASL Aviation Holdings has taken over ownership of Farnair and has been a valuable partner with extensive domain expertise. ASL is a global aviation services provider with operations on 6 continents and a fleet of 140 aircraft in 6 airlines in Europe, South Africa and Asia.

The Boeing 737-400SF operations was launched in July 2014. Currently the fleet is three (HS-KMA, HS-KMB and HS-KMC).

ASL Airlines France is based in Paris-Charles de Gaulle and operates out of major French airports.

The airline operates its own network of scheduled passenger flights between France and Algeria and Morocco in North Africa and Israel. It also operates charter passenger flights throughout Europe for leading French, English and Spanish tour operators and brokers.

Seasonal transatlantic passenger flights are operated on behalf of Air Saint-Pierre linking Paris-CDG with Saint Pierre and Miquelon, the self-governing French overseas territory just off the coast of Canada. The airline also operates VIP air cruises through Africa and South America and incentive flights for various customers.

ASL Airlines France has been an operator of overnight postal flights for the French Postal service, La Poste, for many years and the airline can trace its roots back to L’Aeropostale and later Europe Airpost.

The airline continues to operate for postal and express integrator companies but has also been developing its passenger services since 2013. It is now known throughout the industry for its high-quality passenger service and emphasis on customer care.
