Amazon terminated the Silver Airways Prime Air contract effective July 3, 2023. Silver Airways started operating for Amazon on November 12, 2021.
Silver Airways was operating five ATR 72-500F freighters under the Prime Air label.
Silver Air was operating the ATR 72s from Amazon’s Alliance Airport cargo hub in Fort Worth to Albuquerque, Des Moines, Omaha and Wichita.
In other news, Silver Airways will restore the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood – Gainesville route on August 21, 2023.
The carrier will also launch a weekly Tampa – Greensboro, NC route on September 2.
Silver Airways also operates from GSO to both Nashville and Orlando.
