On August 8, 2023 the SkyTeam Lounge VIP of Arturo Merino Benítez airport (SCL/SCEL) was officially opened; its trial period began in 2022, when most international flights to/from Chile were resumed after restrictions of Covid-19 were lifted.
The Lounge VIP has 757 square meters in a sustainable design with 154 seats, showers, Wi-Fi and plugs for mobile phones or computers, also highlighting the Chilean winery and cuisine in its self-service buffet. Located in the Pier E of Terminal 2, it is open throughout the operation of SkyTeam airlines in Santiago.
Priority Pass members of SkyTeam airlines are allowed to use the new Lounge VIP, plus LATAM Group clients after the Joint Venture with Delta Air Lines.

Five of this global airlines alliance currently operate in Santiago de Chile airport: Aeromexico, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Air France, Delta Air Lines and KLM.
At the opening ceremony were Mauro Oretti, Head of SkyTeam operations (on the right, photo 6537) and Jeffrey Stern, executive director of Global Lounge Network, a Miami-based company dedicated to designing VIP airport lounges around the world.
