Condor will launch the Frankfurt – Miami route on May 18, 2024.
The restored route will operate three days a week with Airbus A330neo aircraft.
Condor issued this statement:
From May 2024, Condor’s brand-new flagship A330-900neo will operate three flights per week from Miami (MIA) to Frankfurt in Germany with seamless and convenient connecting services to more than 100 destinations across Europe. The Airbus A330neo consumes just one gallon of fuel, per 320 miles flown, per passenger – well below the industry average. The planes will feature a world-class Business Class with full lie-flat seats and four of its signature Prime Seats with space for two.
In Summer 2024, Condor will operate from 12 U.S. cities to Frankfurt: New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), Baltimore (BWI), Miami (MIA), Seattle (SEA), Portland (PDX), San Francisco (SFO), Los Angeles (LAX), Minneapolis (MSP), Las Vegas (LAS), Phoenix (PHX) and Anchorage (ANC). Flights are optimally timed for onwards connections in Frankfurt.
By next spring, Condor’s entire long-haul fleet will consist of next-generation A330neo aircraft, one of the most sustainable aircraft in the skies and with its eye-catching signature striped branding. It consumes just one gallon of fuel, per 320 miles flown, per passenger – well below the industry average.
The A330neo offers unrivalled inflight passenger comfort and will accommodate 310 passengers, featuring four Prime Seats, 26 seats in Business Class, 64 seats in Premium Economy Class and 216 seats in Economy Class. The A330neo also features the quietest cabin in the sky, providing passengers with the highest level of comfort and ambience to sleep and relax. This includes offering more personal space, larger overhead bins, a new lighting system, and the latest in-flight entertainment and connectivity.
The A330neo Condor Business Class offers full lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration with direct aisle access for all guests. The seats conveniently convert to a bed with a length of 78” and width of 19”. All our guests have access to the latest movies, TV series, podcasts, and games, all accessible on a 17.3” screen in 4K mode, with touchscreen and remote control. The Prime Seats in the first row of the Business Class provide our guests with added space large enough to accommodate two guests, if they wish to dine together and an extra-large, 24-inch entertainment screen. The “Prime Seats” will feature exclusive in-flight amenities such as a premium travel kit, inflight pajamas, and a premium snack basket.
In other news, Airbus A330neo D-ANRB marks another milestone: Condor welcomed its ninth factory-new A330neo in Frankfurt in early September. The aircraft, registered D-ANRB, arrived at Frankfurt Airport at around 11.00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
This means Condor has flown in a new aircraft every month since the end of 2022, as planned, and has now received half of the long-haul fleet on order.
For the first time, the “Sea” color was delivered on an A330neo with the newest fleet member. This completes the color palette in the long-haul fleet and from now on, guests will fly to the world’s most beautiful destinations in the colors “Island,” “Beach” and “Sea.”
Condor expects to receive a total of 18 new long-haul aircraft as part of its overall long-haul fleet renewal program, which is scheduled to completely replace the current Boeing 767-300 fleet by 2024.
The aircraft will fly in equal numbers in the three colors “Island”-green, “Beach”-beige and “Sea”-blue. In addition, the Supervisory Board has approved up to five further order options for an A330neo, but no order has yet been placed. The next A330neo will also be delivered in “Sea” color and is expected next month.
Once the long-haul fleet renewal is complete, Condor’s short- and medium-haul fleet will follow, with the current Airbus A320/1 and Boeing 757 aircraft being replaced by 41 factory-new A32Xneo aircraft, including 13 A320neo and 28 A321neo.
A total of 14 aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2024 and 2025. In the long term, the Condor fleet will grow overall as part of the fleet renewal program.
