Tampa International Airport’s service to and from Frankfurt is slated to expand to daily in Summer 2024 as part of Eurowings Discover’s announcement today that it is updating its brand identity, now known as Discover Airlines.
The German leisure airline began four-times-a-week service to the European hub in 2021, the same year the Lufthansa Group started operating the carrier. The route currently runs five days a week and has been popular at TPA, serving 160,000 passengers roundtrip since it started.
The move to daily service comes as the newly branded Discover works to add one more Airbus A330, the same type of aircraft that flies to TPA, and five new Airbus A220s. It currently operates 22 aircraft to more than 60 destinations worldwide.
Travelers will begin seeing the new branding this week as Discover starts to change its website and social media channels. Over the next few months, the airline will phase in new signage, employee uniforms and aircraft liveries.
The airline also touts some forthcoming product changes – like free headphones on long-haul routes, improved food and beverage options and upgrades to Premium Economy Class seating – and says more details will be available in the future.
