United Airlines will soon take delivery of its first Airbus A321neo (N44501). The A321neo aircraft will be based at O’Hare.
The carrier will put the new type into revenue service on December 14, 2023 from the Chicago (O’Hare) hub (ORD) to Phoenix (PHX).
Service to Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood (FLL) from ORD also starts on December 14.
Service to Fort Myers (RSW), Las Vegas (LAS) and Orlando (MCO) from ORD starts later on January 9, 2024.
In June 2021, United Airlines placed an order for 70 Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The A321neo order complemented the existing orders from United for 50 A321XLR aircraft, bringing the total commitment from the airline to 120 Airbus A321 aircraft.
