Spirit Airlines has announced it will pull out of Denver in January.

The last day of operations at Denver International Airport (DEN) will be on January 9, 2024.

The airline issued this statement:

“We apologize to our Guests for any inconvenience and will offer refunds to those with reservations after this date. Thank you to Denver’s Department of Aviation for their partnership and support over the years.”

Spirit currently operates from DEN to Los Angeles, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood (FLL), Las Vegas (LAS), and Miami (MIA).

Spirit is pulling back at DEN due to the Federal Aviation Authority’s (FAA) mandate through an Airworthiness Directive for repairs to its Airbus aircraft with Pratt & Whitney’s PW1100G engines. Spirit will be making these repairs which will require grounding aircraft.
