LATAM Airlines Group reported that its operations, measured in available seat – kilometers (ASK), grew by 14.9% compared to October 2022. In the international segment, LATAM increased its capacity by 31.2% compared to the same month of 2022, reaching the highest ASK level since February 2020. These results were accompanied by a load factor of 87.8% in that segment.
During the first ten months of 2023, capacity in the international segment increased by 39.8% compared to the same period in 2022, in line with a 41.9% increase in demand.
The number of passengers transported in October increased by 13.2% compared to the same period in 2022, reaching 6.4 million passengers, of which 1.2 million correspond to international operations, with an increase of 38.4 % compared to October 2022.
Year to date, the total number of passengers transported exceeded 60 million, increasing by 18.1% compared to the January – October 2022 period.
During October, passenger traffic measured in revenue passenger kilometers (RPK) increased by 18.1% compared to the same month in 2022, highlighting the 32.8% increase on international routes.
In terms of cargo, the group added its 19th freighter aircraft (Boeing 767-300BCF), allowing it to increase its market share in export and import markets in the region. In cargo, the capacity measured in available tons-kilometers (ATK) increased by 8.7% compared to October 2022, reaching 5,866 million available tons-kilometers during the first ten months of 2023.
