Eastern Airlines (3rd) has applied to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to fly a new route from New York (JFK) to Wuhan, China via a fuel stop in Anchorage.

The airline hopes to start the route in January 2024.

The current Eastern Airlines, besides operating charters, flies scheduled flights to Santo Domingo from Miami.
