AlbaStar (AlbaStar.es) (Palma de Mallorca) is now branching into cargo operations as it adds its first Boeing 737-400 freighter. After a very long overhaul period (about four months) AlbaStar has taken delivery of 737-4B7 (F) EC-LKB (msn 24559). The freighter made its acceptance flight on January 13. The aircraft is the former EC-KKJ of Flyant Cargo, in storage at Palma since the fall of 2008 (Saicus Air did not take up the aircraft).

AlbaStar (Palma de Mallorca) is a new Spanish airline which has taken delivery of its first aircraft, a Boeing 737-400, formerly operated by Hola Airlines with the same registration (EC-LAV).
AlbaStar has been set up by former LTE and MyAir staff led by Michael Harrington, the former CEO of LTE. The new airline plans to base this first aircraft at Milan (Malpensa).
