Hainan Airlines and Aigle Azur start code-sharing flights

Hainan Airlines has issued this statement:

Flight HU8267/ZI887 took off from Paris Orly Airport at 1:45 pmon September 5 Paris time, and touched down at Beijing Capital International Airport at 6:35 am on September 6 local time, marking the launch of the code-shared ParisBeijing service operated by Hainan Airlines and Aigle Azur.

The nonstop route will be serviced by an Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft six times a week (three times in each direction), including the Paris-Beijing flights on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and the BeijingParis flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The service is the second codeshare flight launched by Hainan Airlines and Aigle Azur following the roll-out of their shared Xi’an-Paris route.

In 2018, Hainan Airlines launched the Haikou-Sydney, Shenzhen-Brussels, Beijing-Tijuana-Mexico City, Changsha-London, Shenzhen-Madrid, Shenzhen-Tianjin-Vancouver, BeijingEdinburghDublinBeijing, BeijingDublinEdinburghBeijing, Guangzhou-Tel Aviv and Shenzhen-Zurich services, among other international offerings.

Currently, Hainan Airlines and its majority-owned subsidiaries have rolled out more than 1,700 domestic and international routes from and to nearly 220 cities across Asia, Europe, North America and Oceania.

Hainan Airlines launches Shenzhen-Zurich service on August 27

On August 27, Hainan Airlines announced the formal launch of service between Shenzhen and Zurich.

The service is the first nonstop flight connecting China’s GuangzhouShenzhen area with Switzerland, and is also the airline’s 7th intercontinental flight originating from Shenzhen.

The airline will operate a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on the new route with two round-trip flights per week. Hainan Airlines flight HU741, the inaugurate flight of the carrier’s new ShenzhenZurich service, took off from Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport at 1:20 am on August 27 Beijing time, and successfully landed at Zurich Airport the same day, at 7:55 am local time.

In 2018, Hainan Airlines launched the ShenzhenBrussels, ShenzhenMadrid, ShenzhenTianjinVancouver, GuangzhouTel Aviv and ShenzhenZurich services in China’s GuangzhouShenzhen area, and is scheduled to launch the ShenzhenVienna service on October 20.

Besides destinations mentioned above, Hainan Airlines international services now fly from Shenzhen to Brisbane, Cairns, Oakland, Zurich, Sihanouk, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Ventiane, Luang Prabang, Da Nang and Nha Trang.The airline has established an increasingly expanded international flight network that makes it ever easier for travelers to transit between long- and short-range flights originating out of the same or nearby airports in the area. The ShenzhenZurich service will complement the services already in place, greatly reducing flight and transit times for passengers.

Hainan Airlines will receive a new Airbus A330-300

Hainan Airlines will receive another Airbus A330-300 aircraft by the end of July. It will be the first aircraft that Hainan Airlines introduces this year, which is also be the 18th new A330-300 aircraft of the fleet.

The airline continued;

Since 1993, Hainan Airlines has achieved 25 years of safe operations and has accumulated over six million hours of safe flights. Hainan Airlines’ fleet is composed mainly of Boeing 737s and 787s as well as Airbus 330s. The introduction of A330 aircraft will improve the capacity of Hainan Airlines. The size of wide body jets of the company will also be expanded after the new A330 joined.

This Airbus A330-300 is able to contain 303 passengers, containing 279 seats in economy class and 24 seats in business class. All the business class seats feature herringbone that allow passengers to enjoy lie-flat beds and highly increased privacy, with direct access to the aisle. All 279 passengers can experience Thales Avant in-flight entertainment system, power supply of 110V and USB port.

Tianjin Airlines is also receiving a new A330-300 aircraft from Toulouse on July 17th, initially serving flights from Tianjin to Tokyo and Osaka, and planning flights from Tianjin, Xi’an, Chongqing to London, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. The new aircraft will help improve the capacity of Tianjin Airlines in the future.

Hainan Airlines successfully completes its inaugural Beijing-Edinburgh-Dublin flight

Hainan Airlines’ flight HU749, which departed from Beijing, smoothly landed at Edinburgh Airport at 6:00 am on June 12, 2018. After a brief stop, it took off again and landed at Dublin Airport at 9:10 am local time on June 12. This was the first arrival of direct flight from mainland China at both Edinburgh and Dublin airports. The flight also marked the success of the maiden voyage of the carrier’s route from  Beijing to Edinburgh and Dublin, the first nonstop service between mainland China,Scotland and Ireland.

The launch includes two new routes: BeijingEdinburghDublinBeijing and BeijingDublinEdinburghBeijing services, providing passengers travelling among China, Britain and Ireland with more convenient travel options.

Beijing Capital International Airport has established sister airport relationships with both Edinburgh and Dublin airports.

Hainan Airlines has also rolled out extensive combined transport offerings of the new routes with its overseas airline partners with the aim of meeting the diversified needs of passengers. Travelers will benefit from convenient transfer, combined transport services and be provided with more destination options. In addition, to offer passengers a better travel experience, Hainan Airlines will launch products including multiple round-trip ticket packages as well as pick-up and delivery shuttle services for business-class passengers.

Hainan Airlines to launch Tel Aviv-Guangzhou service on August 2

Hainan Airlines Holding Co., Ltd. officially announced the launch of nonstop service between Tel Aviv and Guangzhou scheduled to start on August 2, 2018. The route will be serviced by a Boeing 787 Dreamliner three flights a week.

Following the rollout of Tel AvivBeijing and Tel AvivShanghai services, this is Hainan Airlines’ third direct flight between Tel Aviv and China.

In recent years, Hainan Airlines has been highly proactive in developing international services originating from Guangzhou and Shenzhen. The company has launched several long-haul international routes, from Shenzhen to Auckland, Brisbane, Brussels and Madrid, complemented by short-haul international routes from Guangzhou to Phnom Penh, Nha Trang and Siem Reap. Combined with the GuangzhouTel Aviv service scheduled to start in August and the ShenzhenViennaservice on tap to launch in October, the airline has gradually established a comprehensive international route network, integrating both long-haul and short-haul, with hubs in Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Travelers will be able to transfer in Guangzhou for convenient connections to domestic cities in China as well as to several southeast Asian countries including Vietnam and Cambodia.

Hainan Airlines retires its last Boeing 767-300

Type Retired: April 1, 2018 (flight HU7930, Phuket-Beijing with B-2491)

Hainan Airlines has quietly operated its last Boeing 767-300 ER commercial flight. The type has been replaced with newer Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.

The last revenue flight was operated on April 1 as flight HU 7930 between Phuket and Beijing (Capital) with B-2491.

Hainan Airlines commences Shenzhen – Brussels flights

Hainan Airlines launched nonstop service between Shenzhen and Brussels on March 20, 2018.

Following the launch of the Beijing-Brussels and Shanghai Pudong-Brussels services, this is the Hainan Airlines’ third direct flight from China to Brussels.

The route is serviced by Boeing 787 wide-body aircraft, with two round trip flights weekly, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The service’s business class features spacious and comfortable cabins, 180-degree adjustable lie-flat seats, BOSE headsets and Bvlgari toiletry bags. Passengers in all classes will have access to an exclusive on-demand entertainment system and a gourmet selection of Western and Oriental meals.
