Global Airlines, as previously reported, is a new British airline planning to begin operations from London to New York and Los Angeles in the spring of 2024, using a fleet of four Airbus A380s.

The company purchased its first A380 in May 2023 in a three-class configuration with 450–470 seats. The aircraft will be operated by Hi Fly, hence the Maltese registration.

The new airline made this announcement:

We are proud to announce that we have taken ownership of our first aircraft. The aircraft has been de-registered in the United States of America and re-registered in Malta.

9H-GLOBL, which will fly under Maltese registration in the next few weeks with its next destination announced in due course.
