iAero Airways to end operations on April 6

iAero Airways (Greensboro and Miami) will end all operations on April 6, as President Timothy Rainey has informed its employees.

The carrier was unable to find a new investor.

The company was operating cargo flights for DHL Express and other charter customers.

iAero received $22.5 million in debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing from Synovus Financial Corporation when it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization in September 2023 and an additional $5 million in March 2024.

iAero Airways was the largest Boeing 737 charter operator in the United States, operating both passenger and cargo charters. The company was originally founded in 1997 as Swift Air.
