Eastern Airlines (3rd) has applied to the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to fly a new route from New York (JFK) to Wuhan, China via a fuel stop in Anchorage.
The airline hopes to start the route in January 2024.
The current Eastern Airlines, besides operating charters, flies scheduled flights to Santo Domingo from Miami.

Eastern Airlines (3rd) has certified its first and only ex-Singapore Boeing 777-200ER (N771KW). The Triple Seven has entered into revenue service.
The airliner was recently operating sports charters.
