A final trip for a Chilean Boeing 727-225

Star 727-200 CC-CPV fuselage (moved to new site) Santiago (AR)(LRW)

The fuselage of Boeing 727-225, formerly registered as CC-CPV (its last unpainted registration was CC-PFL, msn 22433), was moved quietly last night (September 1, 2016) from Santiago Airport (SCL) to its new resting place in Lonquén, southwest of Santiago de Chile. It was acquired by a truck company (same one that moved it). The future use of the airframe is yet to be decided by the company.

The airliner was last operated by the charter company Star Airlines, and was named “Padre Alberto Hurtado” after the first Catholic Saint of Chile.
