African Express Airways Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia (5Y-AXO), operating a domestic flight on May 4 between Mogadishu and Baidoa, Somalia was shot down, allegedly by a rocket. The aircraft came down near Bardale.

Chartered by NGO, the aircraft was transporting medical supplies. All 6 people on board were killed
