Air Do (Hokkaido), and Solaseed Air (Miyazaki), both backed by ANA, have announced the two companies have signed a basic agreement with the goal of establishment of a joint holding company by October 2022.
The two companies issued this statement:
“In order to quickly recover the damaged financial base of both companies, survive the new business environment, provide more added value to customers, and achieve sustainable growth…the … cooperative relationships between the two companies will be further deepened.”

Solaseed Air (formerly SNA-Skynet Asia Airways) (Miyazaki) is planning to retire its last Boeing 737-400 on September 30, becoming an all Boeing 737-800 operator according to Airline Route. The 737-400 is currently being operated on the Tokyo (Haneda) to Kumamoto, Nagasaki and Oita routes.
Update: As planned, Solaseed Air retired the last Boeing 737-400 on September 30. The last revenue flight was flight 6J 022, departing Kumamoto at 1900 JST and touching down at Tokyo (Haneda (HND) at 2022 JST with 136 passengers, three flight attendants and two pilots. The last flight was operated with 737-46M JA392K according to ZipanguFlyer.
Solaseed Air (Miyazaki) (formerly SNA-Skynet Asia Airways) has leased two new Boeing 737-800s from GE Capital Aviation Services Limited (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE.
Solaseed Air operates a fleet of 14 aircraft to seven destinations in Japan.
