Viking Airlines starts Viking Hellas

Viking Airlines (vikinghellas.com) (Stockholm-Arlanda) has started a Viking Hellas (Athens) subsidiary. According to the new website, the subsidiary “was launched to offer customers the very best flying experience when travelling on holiday. We are operating flights out of Gatwick, Manchester and Bristol in the UK to destinations in Greece, Egypt, the Canary Islands, West Africa and Ski destinations in Europe.” A McDonnell Douglas DC-9-83 (MD-83) has been re-registered as SX-SMS (msn 49631, ex SE-RDI) and “Viking Hellas” titles have been added.

Travel Service Airlines (Prague) has leased Boeing 737-8Q8 SE-RHR (msn 30637) from Viking Airlines.

Tor Air (Gothenburg) is now operating for Cimber Air and Viking Airlines. The new charter airline started operations in 2008.
