Fly Kumba (Harare) finally started its low-fare scheduled flights on March 18 between Bulawayo and Johannesburg with a wet-leased Boeing 737-500 from Air Namibia. The carrier had been delayed from its previously announced start-up date of November 13, 2009.

Fly Kumba (Harare) is destined to be Zimbabwe’s first low cost airline. It is planning to launch scheduled operations in September with Boeing 737-200s. It will initially operate on the Harare-Johannesburg and Bulawayo-Johannesburg routes.
