Eagles Airlines (Venice) launched operations in August 2010 with two Fokker 100s. Rolled out of the paint shop at Norwich on July 16, 2010, the first aircraft to be painted is this ex-Regional Fokker F.28 Mk. 0100 F-GNLI (msn 11315) pictured at Maastricht. The airliner became I-GIOA.
The company changed its operating name to Prima Aero Trasport Italiani on May 27, 2011. The “Eagles” portion of the titles was removed with only “Airlines” titles.
The company operated its last flight on October 30, 2011. However the company hopes to relaunch operations in the summer of 2012 with Boeing 737-400s and 737-500s.
