Niceair is planning to start operations in June

Niceair is planning to launch its first flight in June 2022.

The new airline will fly to Copenhagen (June 2), London (Stansted) (June 3) and Tenerife Sur (June 8).

The virtual airline has contracted with Hi Fly Malta to operate an Airbus A319 on these routes.

Based in Akureyri, the carrier will operate with Airbus A319 aircraft featuring 150 seats which offers optimal performance for both passengers and cargo. The flights will initially be operated using the aircraft of an established European airline.

Here is the initial schedule:

Akureyri, Icelandโ€™s second city and capital of the North is located just 60 miles south of the Arctic Circle and is an attraction in itself. Situated at the end of Icelandโ€™s longest fjord, the views from the city are breath-taking and the tourism offering is significant with a wide range of hotels and accommodation options, local tour operators offering experiences in the surrounding area, Icelandโ€™s largest ski area, a rich cultural programme and a wide variety of excellent shops, bars and restaurants. The wider area offers countless experiences, including year-round whale watching, geothermal pools, charming towns and villages, world leading attractions such as the now famous โ€˜Beer Spaโ€™, luxury accommodation and much more.
