Safi Airways to start Kabul-Abu Dhabi service

Safi Airways (Kabul) will start a new route to Abu Dhabi from its Kabul base on February 22, 2011. The new route will be operated four days a week.

Safi Airways is hopeful of relaunching flights to Europe

Safi Airways to suspend the Kabul-Frankfurt route

Safi Airways (Kabul) is suspending the Kabul-Frankfurt route on January 10, 2011 as a result of the recent European Union (EU) ban of Afghan-registered aircraft into EU airspace.

Safi Airways, Ariana and Kam Air are banned from the EU

Safi Airways, Ariana Afghan Airlines and Kam Air (all Kabul) have been banned by the European Commission from flying in EU airspace due to safety concerns. The EU banned all airlines from Afghanistan.

Safi Airways to acquire two Airbus A320s

Safi Airways (Kabul) is adding two Airbus A320s in a fleet renewal program. The first A320 will be painted in this new livery and will be introduced on the Kabul-Dubai route this month. The Boeing 737-300s will be retained for charters and ACMI operations.
