Sky Aviation of Indonesia finalizes its order for 12 Sukhoi Superjets

Sky Aviation (PT Sky Aviation) (Indonesia) (Jakarta) following its MOU in July at Paris Le Bourget Airshow, on August 16, 2011 signed a purchase agreement for 12 Sukhoi Superjet 100s (SSJ100) from SCAC.

The first SSJ100 is scheduled to arrive at Indonesia in August 2012. Sky Aviation is the first user of SSJ100 aircraft in Asia Pacific.

After a management change in 2010, the airline is now expanding its services as a scheduled airline.

In 2010 Sky Aviation acquired its first Cessna 208 Grand Caravan to service scheduled flights between Surabaya, Banyuwangi and Denpasar. These routes were officially launched in Banyuwangi on December 29, 2010.

In early 2011 Sky Aviation acquired its first of three Fokker 50 turboprops.

Sky Aviation currently operates Cirrus SR20s and SR22s, Cessna 208 Grand Caravans and Fokker 50s on regional routes in Indonesia (see route map below).
