Sky Express to link Thessaloniki with Larnaca

Sky Express made this announcement:

Effective by the end of October, SKY Express will a new international route linking Thessaloniki with Larnaca. The new route will be operated with Airbus A320neo aircraft.

SKY express initiates the first route that connects Thessaloniki, the historic city of Macedonia, with Cyprus! From October 31, the brand-new Airbus A320neo will be executing flights be-tween Thessaloniki International Airport “Macedonia” and Larnaca International Airport four times a week. The route broadens the options of passengers while creating new opportunities for interaction between the two popular destinations.

This is in addition to Thessaloniki’s existing domestic network (Heraklion, Mytilene, Chios, Samos and, of course, the daily flights to Athens).

Sky Express takes delivery of its first ATR 72-600


SKY Express and ATR have announced the delivery of an ATR 72-600 aircraft.

This deal represents a new country of operations for the ATR 72-600 which is currently flying in over 50 countries around the world. With a fleet of 10 ATR -500 series aircraft, the airline has opted to continue its long relationship with ATR for its fleet modernization project.

When the ATR 72-600 enters into service later this month, it will be the first step in ensuring continued and sustainable operations to Greece’s many islands.

In other news, the Greek carrier recently took delivery of its 6th Airbus A320neo.

Sky Express to fly to Paris (CDG), Lyon, Nantes and Brussels

Sky Express continues to expand.

The Greek airline will start service from Athens to France, including Paris (CDG), Lyon and Nantes on June 5.

Additionally the carrier will launch Athens – Brussels flights on June 2.

Sky Express officially launched daily flights from Athens to Rhodes, the Greek island on March 15.

The airline is adding 6 brand-new Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Sky Express starts and expands Airbus A320neo operations

Sky Express began Airbus A320neo service on the Athens-Thessaloniki route on December 14, 2020.

The growing carrier is planning to bring the new type to Larnaca, Brussels and Dortmund for the summer season 2021.

Sky Express orders four Airbus A320neo aircraft

Airbus has announced Sky Express of Greece has ordered four Airbus A320neo aircraft. It will also lease two other aircraft.

Sky Express intends to expand outside of Greece to international markets, mainly in Europe.

The company is planning a new livery with this new type.

SKY express, the fastest growing airline in Greece, a member of the IOGR Group of Companies, announces the acquisition of six brand new Airbus Α320neo aircraft and their immediate incorporation to its fleet. The new aircraft with lower fuel consumption and highly advanced technical specifications, are coming to enhance the privately-owned fleet of SKY express, further reinforcing its flight operation which already covers 34 destinations across Greece, and to expand the company’s horizons to international flights.

The acquisition of these aircraft marks a new era for SKY express and it inevitably changes the airline industry landscape of Greece.

The first flight of the new aircraft will take place on December 14, 2020 on the route Athens – Thessaloniki and, effective immediately, passengers can make reservations with an array of additional services and new fares at their disposal.
