Delta’s new service to Philadelphia complements numerous Boston service enhancements made in 2018. This leisure expansion continues with new Saturday service to Aruba as of June, marking Delta’s sixth destination in the Caribbean from Boston.  Additional flights to top business markets begin this summer from Boston to Nashville, Atlanta, Seattle, Kansas City, Jacksonville and Pittsburgh.

Boston serves as an ideal gateway for Philadelphia customers traveling to Europe, with nonstop service to London, Dublin, Paris and Amsterdam. Customers can also fly nonstop from Boston to Rome on Delta partner Alitalia, and Manchester on Delta partner Virgin Atlantic.

Delta’s continued investment in Boston will reach 112 peak day departures by this summer, an increase of 19 departures compared with summer 2017 and 29 departures over summer 2016. Delta and its partners will serve 51 total destinations from Boston, including 17 international destinations and the largest trans-Atlantic network.

Delta’s leading global network in Boston

Recent Boston service investments bring Delta to 113 peak-day departures by this summer, an increase of 20 departures compared with summer 2017 and 30 departures over summer 2016. Delta and its partners serve 50 total destinations from Boston, including 18 international destinations and the largest transatlantic network.

Delta is the No. 1 carrier between Boston and New York, connecting business travelers with the Delta Shuttle, operated by Delta and its connection partner Republic Airline, with hourly service 16 times daily on week days between Logan Airport and New York City’s LaGuardia Airport as well as offering eight daily flights to New York-JFK.

Ryan Gumm, President and CEO, Endeavor Air, announced an opportunity that grows the airline, strengthens its future, and signals another significant commitment from Delta Air Lines.

In a move that shifts 31 aircraft from another Delta Connection partner to Endeavor, the Minneapolis-based regional airline will expand its network and increase its fleet to 154 aircraft by July 2018.

The announcement outlines the addition of 28 Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft, increasing the world’s largest fleet of the 76-seat aircraft to 109; Endeavor will also acquire three Bombardier CRJ700 aircraft. The airline also plans to draw down its 50-seat CRJ200 fleet by 16 aircraft, to 42 CRJ200s, for a total net gain of 15 aircraft once all aircraft have been inducted at Endeavor.

The increase in aircraft also necessitates the need to open a CRJ900 crew base in Atlanta, scheduled for late October.

The shift away from 50-seat flying allows Endeavor to focus on its dual-class operation, while delivering a seamless customer service experience for customers connecting in some of Delta’s most heavily traversed hubs. As part of this announcement, Endeavor also said it plans to close its Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) CRJ200 crew base; the airline noted that it will continue to operate a robust CRJ900 base in MSP.
