Air Canada and the Ottawa Senators sign a four-year partnership agreement

The Ottawa Senators have announced that they have partnered with Air Canada on a four-year agreement as the official airline partner of both the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and Canadian Tire Centre.

“Air Canada is one of the greatest brands in Canada and one of the world’s top airlines. It’s an honour to welcome them back as a partner of the Ottawa Senators,” said Tom Anselmi, Ottawa Senators President and CEO.

“Air Canada is very proud of its association with the Ottawa Senators. This is a natural fit as we are Canada’s flag carrier and the Senators are the home team of our Nation’s Capital, playing Canada’s game. We look forward to deepening our engagement with the Ottawa community and we see many opportunities to do so through this exciting partnership,” said Andy Shibata, Managing Director, Brand, at Air Canada.

In addition to its continued collaboration on airline travel through Air Canada Jetz, Air Canada will also be engaging fans in the National Capital Region with unique new advertising and marketing activations, including the popular #ACFanFlight promotion. The social media contest involves people submitting, in writing, why their deserving nominee should receive complimentary airfare to and from Ottawa, from anywhere in the world, to attend a Senators game.

The Senators and Air Canada will then choose a deserving winner and provide a memorable day of personal experiences for the winner, complete with game tickets and much more. The contest will launch in January.

Air Canada Jetz (below) is the team’s trusted airline carrier which transports the Senators on each of their flights throughout North America during the 2017-18 season – more than 30,000 kilometers in the air as the team travels from coast to coast.
