Thai AirAsia X to launch two routes to Sydney and Melbourne

Thai AirAsia X (flight code XJ) continues its network expansion with direct flights to the two largestย  cities in Australia, flying direct from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to Melbourne and Sydney for the very first time, commencing December 1 and 2, 2022.

Four weekly flights direct to Sydney Airport on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and to Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) three times a week on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Served by the spacious 377-seat Airbus A330 aircraft with 12 upfront business-class reclining seats for extra comfort and 365 economy seats, including a quiet zone from rows 7 – 14, both routes present convenient, economical and affordable travel between Australia and Thailandย  whether for leisure, visiting friends and family or international studies.

Thai AirAsix X files for bankruptcy

Thai AirAsia X has filed for bankruptcy protection and reorganization.

The claim has been accepted by a Thai court.

Thai AirAsia X follows Nok Airways and Thai Airways International in their bankruptcy proceedings after the Thai tourist market collapsed due to COVID-19.

Thai AirAsia suspends flights, cuts pay for employees

Thai AirAsia suspended operations this month. The carrier also cut or deferred salaries for its employees until it can resume operations.

Thai AirAsix X to fly to Sapporo, Hokkaido

Thai AirAsia X's 2015 "Thank You Captain Park" logo jet

Thai AirAsia X (Bangkok-Don Mueang) will launch daily service between the DMK base in Bangkok to Sapporo (Hokkaido Island), Japan starting on April 10, 2018. The new route will be assigned to the Airbus A330-300 aircraft according to Airline Route.
