Iberojet now operates between Madrid and Lisbon and the Caribbean

Formerly Evelop Airlines and Orbest Airlines

Iberojet (Palma de Mallorca and Lisbon) (formerly Evelop AIrlines and Orbest Airlines) is now offering the following routes to the Caribbean, Mexico and Central America from Madrid and Lisbon:

Previously on December 8, 2020, it was announced Evelop Airlines of Spain would merge with Orbest Airlines of Portugal to form the pictured Iberojet.

The pictured Airbus A350-900 (top) now displays the livery of the newly created carrier.

Evelop Airlines takes delivery of its first Airbus A350 XWB

The first Airbus A350neo for Evelop, delivered on March 28, 2019

Evelop Airlines, the Spanish carrier of Barceló Group’s Ávoris travel division, has taken delivery of its first of two Airbus A350 XWBs. The second aircraft will be delivered in 2020.

The A350-900, on lease from Air Lease Corporation (ASLC), will be based at Madrid Barajas – Adolfo Suárez airport and deployed on long-haul routes to Caribbean destinations.

It features a high comfort single class configuration with 432 seats. Passengers will enjoy more personal space, the quietest cabin of any twin-aisle aircraft and the latest generation cabin products, including individual onboard in-flight entertainment.

Evelop Airlines operates an all Airbus fleet of one A320-200, one A330-200 and three A330-300s.

Intrepid Aviation delivers a new Airbus A330-300 to Evelop Airlines

Evelop's first Airbus A330 in the new livery

Intrepid Aviation announced today that it has delivered one new Airbus A330-300 to Evelop Airlines (Palma de Mallorca). The aircraft is powered by Rolls Royce 772B engines and is subject to a long-term lease to the airline.

“We very are pleased to be taking delivery of Evelop’s third A330-300 and our first brand new aircraft of this type, thanks to our close working relationship with Intrepid Aviation. The aircraft will be put into operations primarily on our Caribbean routes and will contribute to our ongoing growth,” says Evelop’s Managing Director, Emeterio Lorente Herce.

Iberia Maintenance to maintain the aircraft of newcomer Evelop Airlines

Iberia Maintenance (Barcelona) will maintain the two aircraft (Airbus A320 and A330) of newcomer Spanish charter airline Evelop Airlines (Palma de Mallorca). The renewable three-year contract covers “C” checks and maintenance of airframes, parts and the CFM56-5B4/3 engines at Iberia’s Maintenance facility at Barcelona (above).

Evelop Airlines was founded in 2013 and is owned by Barceló Viajes. Barceló Group acquired the assets of Orbest Airlines in 2013 following the collapse of Orizonia Corporation. Envelop operates for tour operators and specializes in long-range routes from Madrid to Caribbean destinations such as Punta Cana, Havana and Cancun.
