The Guardian: Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson to help develop a new Air Djibouti

Air Djibouti (1st) (Djibouti) operated from 1963 to 2002. Bruce Dickinson of the Iron Maiden and formerly of Astraeus Airlines (2002 – 2011), is helping to get the new version of Air Djibouti airborne through his Cardiff Aviation.

Bruce Dickinson is an English musician, airline pilot (who used to fly for Astraeus Airlines), broadcaster and the lead vocalist of the heavy metal Iron Maiden band.

Astraeus Airlines (London-Gatwick) suddenly ceased operations yesterday (November 21) and went into receivership (bankruptcy protection).

Astraeus Airlines (London-Gatwick) today introduced a second “Ed Force One” special color scheme on its Boeing 757-2Q8 G-STRX (msn 25621).

Iceland Express to add Boston and Chicago in 2011

Iceland Express (Keflavik) is planning to add Boston and Chicago (O’Hare) for the summer season 2011.

Iceland Express is coming to Orlando

Iceland Express (Keflavik) starts weekly flying to Florida from Reykjavík (Keflavik) starting on October 2 when it adds Orlando. However the seasonal run will only last for the month with the last scheduled flight due to be on October 23. The flights will be operated by Astraeus Airlines.

The Newark flights have been extended by an extra two months, until the end of October.

Astraeus is now operating Boeing 737-33A G-STRJ for Iceland Express

Astraeus Airlines (London-Gatwick) is now operating its Boeing 737-33A G-STRJ (msn 25119) for Iceland Express (Keflavik). The airliner still wears the Seagle Air color scheme but now with Iceland Express titltes.

Astraeus Airlines (London-Gatwick) is going to operate its Boeing 757-2Q8 G-STRX (msn 25621) (previously operated for bmi) for AeroSur (Bolivia) (Santa Cruz).
