Bulgaria Air launches regular flights to over 10 new destinations in Europe and Asia from spring

Bulgaria Air has announced it will launch regular flights from Sofia to over 10 new destinations in Europe and Asia from this spring

The new destinations include flights to Dubai, Corfu, Rhodes, Crete, Thessaloniki, Budapest, and
Kiev.

Three exclusive flights are planned for Dubai for the May holidays – on April 30, May 5 and May 10, and regular flights on the line will run from September 30 with two flights per week – every Thursday and Sunday with a convenient schedule and the possibility of a round-trip connection with departure from Varna. At the end of April are also the first regular direct flights to Budapest and Kiev, and for the holidays from May 21 the new Greek destinations – Thessaloniki, the islands of Crete and Rhodes – are launched. On June 11, the first direct flight of Bulgaria Air to the magnificent Ionian island of Corfu is due to take place.

The airline has restored its regular flights between Sofia and St. Petersburg and between Sofia and Valencia for the summer 2021 season.

Very soon Bulgaria Air will also announce the start date for another new regular route to Tenerife.

Qatar Airways and Bulgaria Air sign codeshare agreement

Qatar Airways has announced it has signed a codeshare agreement with Bulgaria Air.

The first codeshare flights to begin to operate from March 2, 2020.

The agreement will provide Bulgaria Air passengers with a seamless connection to destinations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Qatar Airways’ passengers will benefit from access to two new destinations in Bulgaria: Varna and Burgas.

Qatar Airways first launched services to Sofia, Bulgaria on 22 September 2011 beginning with a four-times weekly service. In the years since, due to the strong demand by travellers, the service has grown to 14 weekly flights.

Bulgaria Air is the largest Bulgarian airline and national carrier of the Republic of Bulgaria. It performs direct flights to 25 cities in Europe, including domestic flights to Varna and Bourgas.

Air Italy signs code share agreement with Bulgaria Air

Air Italy and Bulgaria Air have entered into a code share partnership to offer customers enhanced connectivity between Bulgaria and eight major destinations in Italy, with effect from today.

Under the agreement, Air Italy’s “IG” code will be placed on Bulgaria Air flights between Milan Malpensa and Sofia, Varna and Burgas, which are all on sale from today with the first flights available from March 31st. At the same time, starting with the new summer IATA season, Bulgaria Air will put its “FB” code on Air Italy flights between Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino, Naples, Olbia and Cagliari (Sardinia), Palermo and Catania (Sicily), and Lamezia Terme (Calabria).

Moreover, thanks also to the interline commercial agreement, Bulgaria Air’s passengers will benefit from single tickets for travel between Bulgaria and Air Italy’s US, Canada and Africa destinations operated from Malpensa: Miami, New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco (both from April), Toronto (from May), Cairo, Dakar, Accra and Lagos.
