Fly Orange made this announcement on July 31, 2018:
Dear passengers of flyorange,
To our great regret, unfortunately, we have to inform you that all flights of fly orange have been cancelled.
As you may have heard from the media and our Facebook page, one of our partners is not following its obligations. They do not carry out the agreed and pre-paid flights, and therefore fly orange is unable to fulfil its obligations to passengers.
This is why we are unfortunately forced to stop all activities. We have always sought to provide the best possible service to our passengers and to minimise damage to passengers in this situation.
In order to recover the prepaid funds to the-party, fly orange has had to ask for bankruptcy today. As soon as the court has appointed a liquidator, it will be communicated to the injured passengers so that they can report as a creditor. After Bankruptcy, the liquidator will ensure that any recovered funds are distributed among creditors.
We stress once again that our founders / owners and all employees are also victims of this situation. We are honest entrepreneurs and have always acted in honor and conscience. We also lose our business, our jobs and our investments. We hope everyone will keep this in mind and keep the rest.
On behalf of the entire flyorange team, we offer our sincere apologies for all the inconvenience.
Fly Orange (Maastricht) was a virtual carrier (no AOC) offering charter flights between cities in the Netherlands/Belgium and Morocco.
Fly Orange was using VIA Airways and Small Planet Airlines.
