On December 5, 2017 AeroUnion (Mexico) was preparing to operate cargo flight 6R 301 from Los Angeles (LAX) to Guadalajara, Mexico (GDL) with the pictured Boeing 767-241 ER XA-LRC (msn 23802).
The Boeing 767 departed from LAX but the right (number 2) engine started trailing smoke (above) after a possible bird strike. The flight crew declared an emergency, circled around and made an emergency and safe landing on runway 25L.
Later in the day, the aircraft completed its journey to GDL.
