Danube Wings is unable to resume operations, lays off all employees

Danube Wings (VIP Wings dab) (Bratislava) was forced to suspended all flight operations from both Bratislava and Kosice on November 20. Since then the airline has now ceased all business operations and laid off all of its employees.

Operations commenced in August 2008.

DanubeWings to start Ostrava-Vienna service on January 14, 2013

DanubeWings ( (Bratislava) will start a new route connecting Ostrava (Czech Republic) with Vienna commencing on January 14, 2013. The new route will be flown with ATR 72s per Airline Route.

DanubeWings ( (Bratislava) has changed its web address. The airline is striking out the”.com” on the aircraft and adding a new “.eu”.

Czech Airlines is now operating Boeing 737-436 OK-WGY for DanubeWings

Czech Airlines-CSA (Prague) starting today (December 1) has wet leased its Boeing 737-436 OK-WGY (msn 25839) to DanubeWings ( (Bratislava). DanubeWings today launched jet service with OK-WGY from Poprad-Tatry to London (Luton), Dublin and Manchester.
