Jazeera Airways confirms its order for 28 new Airbus A320neo family aircraft

Jazeera Airways, the Kuwaiti-based carrier, has firmed up an order with Airbus for 28 aircraft, including 20 A320neos and eight A321neos.

The order confirms the Memorandum of Understanding announced in November 2021.

The airline was established in April 2004.

Jazeera Airways is the first non-government owned airline in the Middle East, continuing to be one of the few Middle East-based private airlines to this day.


Jazeera Airways serves to 30 destinations operating a reliable fleet of Airbus A320 and A320neo aircraft – all fitted with our signature leather seats and two or three class cabins. In June 2018, Jazeera was the first airline in the Middle East to introduce the A320neo into its fleet.


Jazeera Airways owns and operates its own terminal at Kuwait International Airport – Terminal 5 (T5) ensuring an enhanced passenger experience with dedicated check-in, fast immigration and short transfer distances.

Jazeera Airways signs MOU for Airbus 20 A320neos and eight A321neos.

Airbus has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Jazeera Airways, the Kuwait-based carrier, for 20 A320neos and eight A321neos.

Jazeera Airways commenced operations in 2005 and has since emerged as a leading carrier in the region. It is operating regionally and internationally serving Middle East, Europe and Asia’s top destinations from its home base Kuwait. The Kuwaiti airline supports the country’s 2035 vision to further economic expansion and transformation into a commercial hub.

Jazeera Airways launches a new route to Tashkent

Jazeera Airways on June 28 launched a new route linking Kuwait City and Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

This is the first route between the two countries by the airline

A formal ceremony was conducted to celebrate the launch.

The new route will operate twice-weekly.

Previously the airline also launched a new route to Sarajevo on June 26.

Jazeera Airways arrives in London

Delivered on October 18, 2019

Jazeera Airways nonstop service from Kuwait to London (Gatwick) daily started on October 27, 2019.

The new service is being operated with brand new Airbus A320neo aircraft.

Jazeera Airways to fly to London

Jazeera Airways is expanding in 2019. The airline will take delivery of three additional new Airbus A320neo aircraft which will allow for further expansion.

According to Airline Route, the airline expects to start new service to London (Gatwick) in 2019. The carrier will add new routes to Bodrum and Istanbul (Sabiha Gokcen) in Turkey, Kathmandu in Nepal, Dhaka in Bangladesh and Karachi in Pakistan.

Jazeera Airways takes delivery of its first Airbus A320neo

Avolon, the international aircraft leasing company, has announced the delivery of one Airbus A320neo to Jazeera Airways. This is the fourth Avolon aircraft on lease to Jazeera Airways.

This is also the first Airbus A320neo for the carrier. The pictured A320-251N 9K-CAQ (msn 7936) has been put into service on the Kuwait City – Dubai route.

Jazeera Airways to launch three weekly flights to Tbilisi

Jazeera Airways has announced the launch of its three weekly flights to Tbilisi, capital and largest city in Georgia from June 13, 2018.

Additionally, Jazeera Airways will be adding the fourth destination in India after Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Kochi recently, Jazeera Airways will now fly to Mumbai starting May 9.

Jazeera Airways adds a new route to Kochi, India

Jazeera Airways today launched four weekly flights to Kochi from Kuwait City. Jazeera Airways inaugurated the third Indian destination at an event in the city today.

Following its recent launch into Hyderabad and Ahmedabad, Kochi is the third route in India being offered by Jazeera, launching nonstop flights from Kuwait City from January 18, and connecting beyond to other destinations across the Middle East.

Flights operate four days a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays departing at 8:55 pm from Kochi and arriving at 12:10 am in Kuwait and from Kuwait, departing at 12:45 pm reaching Kochi at 8:10 pm.

Jazeera Airways expands into India

Jazeera Airways (Kuwait City) has announced plans for further expansion into India. Following a successful launch in Hyderabad in November, Jazeera Airways will now fly to Ahmedabad and Kochi starting on January 17 and 18, 2018 respectively.
