Sundair launches a new route from Stockholm to Beirut

Sundair is expanding. The airline launched a new weekly route on December 11 from Stockholm (Arlanda) and Beirut.

Sundair is an independent airline founded in 2016 with its headquarters in Stralsund, Germany and bases at Kassel-Calden Airport, Berlin-Brandenburg, Dresden and Bremen.

Sundair serves the most beautiful destinations in the Mediterranean, the Red Sea and the Canary Islands.

The fleet currently consists of seven aircraft, 5 Airbus A320-200s and 2 Airbus A319-100 aircraft.

Sundair’s D-ANNA goes on vacation

"Katta goes on vacation"

Sundair’s Airbus A320 D-ANNA is wearing new promotional colors titled “Katta macht Urlaub”.
Katta, the ring-tail lemur is the mascot of Schauinsland Reisen, the tour operator which owns 50% of Sundair. Katta’s friends, Ingo Flamingo, Adele Shrimp and Otto Octopus, are also featured on the side of the plane.
These characters are the central part of the “Katta macht Urlaub” (“Katta goes on vacation”) hotel concept for families that includes animation for children.

Sundair operates its first revenue flight

Sunair starts operations on September 27, 2017

Sundair, the new German charter airline, launched its first revenue flight on September 27, 2017 after its AOC was granted on the previous day. The very first operation was flight SDR2402 from Kassel to Palma de Mallorca with the pictured Airbus A320-214 D-ASEF (msn 4974).

Sundair is 50 percent owned by Schauinsland Reisen, a German tour operator that will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2018, in collaboration with Spaniard entrepreneur Marcos Roselló, CEO of the Air41 technology company and founder of Sundair.

German newcomer Sundair’s first two Airbus A320s are painted

Sundair is a new German charter airline based in Stralsund in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Starting in 2017, Sundair will fly to popular holiday destinations around the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and the Red Sea.

The new airline has acquired two Airbus A320-214s (D-ASEE, msn 4953 and D-ASEF, msn 4974) which are being prepared by Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi.

On July 12, 2017 the company made this announcement and issued these images (above):

In the coming days, our two aircraft, which are currently still in Abu Dhabi, will fly to Germany.

The new airline is planning to commence operations later this summer.

Sundair plans to start Airbus A319 operations in April 2017

Sundair is a new German independent, middle-sized air carrier for the European market. According to its website, the new airline will offer leisure flights, ad-hoc charters and subservice flights.

Sundair is planning to start flight operations in April 2017 with Airbus A319s.

The prospective airline is based in Stralsund, Germany.
