Alitalia converts more wide bodies to freighters

In the past weeks, Alitalia SAI, has decided to switch from passenger aircraft to cargo aircraft including its Boeing 777-300 ER registered as EI-WLA for Alitalia Cargo. The aircraft flies beside to Boeing 777-200 ER EI-ISD modified some months ago.

EI-WLA operated its first service from New York (JFK) to Milan (Malpensa) as flight AZ9453 on October 10.

On October 2, flying from Rome Fiumicino to Delhi, the 777 carried 53,626 kilograms establishing a record with freight in pallets.
Alitalia Cargo also operates to Mumbai and Delhi with fully cargo rotations.
