Russia tries to protect its leased airliners by moving them to the Russian register

TASS reported that around 180 leased Russian airliners have been re-registered with a Russian registration:

“Around 180 aircraft have been registered in the state register of civil aircraft since the end of February. These include aircraft of Aeroflot, Pobeda, UTair, Rossiya and Izhavia airlines, Head of the Aircraft Airworthiness Department at the Federal Air Transport Agency Valery Kudinov said on Thursday.”

Any reporting in Russia of any registration changes could be deemed as “fake news” by Putin’s attack on the truth.

Meanwhile Bermuda has de-registered all Russian operated aircraft:
