Air India Express (Mumbai) took delivery of its 24th Boeing 737-800 on September 29. 737-8HG VT-AYC (msn 36339) has an unique tapestry design on both sides of the tail surface. Further details on this design are welcome.

Air India to use A320s for domestic LCC flights

Air India (Mumbai) will use 10 Airbus A320s for a new low-cost domestic operation in India. The Air India Express (which flies internationally) brand will be used for this new domestic operation.

Air India Express to be converted to LCC

Air India Express (subsidiary of Air India) (Mumbai) will be converted to a domestic low-cost carrier (LCC). Currently it flies to mainly international cities with Boeing 737-800s from Indian cities.
