American takes Chicago expansion up a notch with 100 new daily departures this spring

ย American Airlines is taking its ongoing expansion in Chicago to the next level with 100 new daily departures from Oโ€™Hare International Airport (ORD) โ€” bolstering its schedule with additional flights to more than 75 popular destinations just in time for spring break. The airlineโ€™s largest ORD spring schedule on record enhances the strongest network in the U.S. and means more for Americanโ€™s customers: more flights, more choices, more popular destinations and more opportunities to see the world. Additionally, the airline is expanding its summer seasonal service from ORD to two sought-after European destinations: Paris and Dublin. Itโ€™s the latest in Americanโ€™s comprehensive expansion plan that has already enhanced the customer experience, improved operational reliability and deepened its century-long roots in the Chicago community.

  • American continues to strengthen its network at Oโ€™Hare International Airport (ORD) with 100 additional daily departures to more than 75 destinations in time for spring break travel.ย
  • The airline is adding even more flights for spring, including double the service from ORD to popular spring break destinations โ€” like Las Vegas (LAS); Panama City, Florida (ECP); and Sarasota, Florida (SRQ) โ€” and more than double the flights from ORD to Savannah, Georgia (SAV), and San Francisco (SFO) compared to what was originally available for sale for spring 2026.
  • A year of strategic ORD investments in 2025 sets the stage for Americanโ€™s record spring break operation, reaching 500 departures from ORD in March and restoring prepandemic levels of flying.ย
  • The expansion represents 21% more departures than what was originally for sale this spring and a 30% increase in spring departures compared to 2025, solidifying Americanโ€™s ORD operation as the fastest-growing legacy carrier hub in the country.
  • This is the latest in Americanโ€™s comprehensive expansion plan that has already added 29 new destinations from ORD, as well as enhanced the customer experience and improved operational reliability.

Chicagoโ€™s spring break boost

Americanโ€™s largest-ever ORD spring operation gives Chicago travelers more options to reach top destinations across its global network while boosting tourism to the city and offering more customers a convenient one-stop connection through ORD.

The airline is adding 100 peak daily departures to its spring schedule with increased service in 75 markets, including Boston (BOS); Cincinnati, Ohio (CVG); Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW); Fort Myers, Florida (RSW); and Orlando, Florida (MCO). The airline is doubling its service from ORD to popular spring break destinations like Las Vegas (LAS); Panama City, Florida (ECP); and Sarasota, Florida (SRQ), as well as well as offering more than twice as much service from ORD to Savannah, Georgia (SAV), and San Francisco (SFO) than what was originally available for spring 2026.

This expansion brings peak ORD operations to more than 500 daily departures this spring, representing 30% more departures than last spring. Reaching 500 peak daily departures solidifies ORDโ€™s spot as the third-largest hub in American’s global network and among the top 10 largest hub operations of all major U.S. carriers. It also extends its spot as the fastest-growing legacy airline hub this year.

These additional flights are now available for purchase through Americanโ€™s mobile app or aa.com.

Further strengthening Americanโ€™s ORD network

The airline announced today the extension of summer seasonal service from ORD to Dublin to operate about a month longer and Paris to operate three months longer than previous seasons. The extended seasonal service is part of Americanโ€™s globe-spanning international network connecting customers with the airlineโ€™s best-in-class group of global partners.

American kicked off a major expansion at ORD in summer 2025 with 20% more flights and 22% more seats compared to the 2024 summer schedule. Since then, the airline added nearly 30 new destinations to its ORD network, including Honolulu (HNL), Mexico City (MEX), Madrid (MAD) and Chicagoโ€™s only nonstop service to Naples, Italy (NAP). Additionally, the airline doubled service to warm weather destinations this winter in Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America โ€” making American the leading carrier from ORD to the region โ€” and increased frequencies to traditional business markets like Seattle (SEA), Houston (IAH), Fayetteville/Bentonville, Arkansas (XNA), and more to provide customers more flexibility.

The power of hubs

Airline hubs act as โ€œconnection factories,โ€ driving economic growth and business development in their home cities while strengthening regional communities with crucial air service. They multiply travel opportunities for business and leisure by offering convenient one-stop connections, creating a ripple effect that fuels local economies, generates jobs and gives customers more choices.

Americanโ€™s recent expansion at ORD delivers on that promise, bringing more tourism and business opportunities to Chicago while giving travelers in smaller markets access to a vast global network and unmatched flexibility. With added service to destinations like Cedar Rapids, Iowa (CID); Bloomington, Illinois (BMI); Flint, Michigan (FNT); and more, Americanโ€™s ORD hub opens doors for customers, helping them expand business reach and make long-haul travel a reality.

As the nationโ€™s largest dual-hub airport, ORD has long thrived on strong competition among hub carriers, which keeps fares lower and doubles options for travelers. With three new peak daily flights to SFO and Cleveland (CLE) and two to Denver (DEN), customers now have even more ways to travel to, from and through Chicago, and, importantly, they have more choice.

Travel experience upgrades draw customer loyalty

Americanโ€™s expansion goes beyond adding flights through a comprehensive strategy to secure Americanโ€™s position as the airline of choice at ORD. Chicago travelers are responding to Americanโ€™s enhanced focus on customer experience that spans every facet of the travel journey. In the third quarter, enrollments in Americanโ€™s industry-leading AAdvantageยฎ loyalty program grew 7% systemwide year over year, with Chicago leading the way at approximately 20% growth, more than double the system average.

  • Customer-first commitment:ย This year, American renewed its focus on the customer experience with a holistic look at the travel journey. Enhancements include a redesigned mobile app, connection-saving technology and the new premium-configured Boeing 787-9 aircraft that is becoming the mainstay of Americanโ€™s Chicago-London service.ย
  • A more reliable operation:ย Strategic investments in operational performance โ€” including the airlineโ€™s new boarding process, new devices and initiatives that improve baggage handling and technology that streamlines aircraft pushback โ€” have contributed to a more reliable operation at ORD. American was the most on-time hub carrier at ORD this year.
  • New gates fuel ongoing growth:ย American recently made a significant investment in its operational presence at ORD with the acquisition of two new gates, which made way for three new destinations, resulting in 29 destinations added to ORD in 2025.ย
  • More premium options:ย After upgrading all flights to operate on dual-class regional jets, American is the only hub carrier to offer premium options on every flight from ORD.ย
  • 29 new destinations from ORD in 2025ย
  • Fastest-growing legacy airline hub in the U.S. this yearย
  • Largest-ever spring operation in 2026 with 500+ departures, driven by 100 additional peak daily flightsย
  • 500+ departures planned from ORD next summer
  • Currently the only hub carrier to return to all markets served in summer 2025ย
  • First airport in Americanโ€™s network with new self-service kiosks and reconfigured lobby for faster and smoother check-in
  • Revamped boarding process improving on-time departures, enhancing jetbridge flow and reducing gate-checked bags by 25%
  • New connection-saving technology implemented this summer at ORD, saving thousands of customer connections systemwideย
  • Only carrier at ORD offering premium seats on every flight after replacing smaller aircraft with dual-class regional jets equipped with Wi-Fiย
  • Chicago customers first to experience American’s brand-new Boeing 787-9 premium aircraft, deployed to ORD before anywhere elseย
  • Most on-time hub carrier at ORD in 2025, leading on-time departures during nine of 11 months so far this year
  • Partnership with U.S. Customs and Border Protection to implement Enhanced Passenger Processing (EPP) biometric system at ORD, reducing time spent clearing immigration for U.S. citizens without Global Entry and increasing flow for all customers
  • Collaboration with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) to install TSA PreCheckยฎย Touchless ID, enabling AAdvantageยฎย members to clear security faster than ever before

American Airlines reinvents and restructures its DFW hub

American Airlines made this announcement:

American Airlines is fundamentally changing the way it does business at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), the airlineโ€™s largest hub, and the airlineโ€™s customers will soon benefit from those changes in a meaningful way.

  • A reimagined schedule at the airlineโ€™s largest and most important hub enhances the customer experience at nearly every touchpoint.
  • Adjustments to scheduled flight times drive greater certainty for customers, improved and more desirable departure times and more seamless journeys.
  • Schedule enhancements and ongoing investments continue to improve the overall airport experience.
  • Americanโ€™s track record of recovering from irregular operations better than any other airline is further bolstered with investments in remote deplaning resources.

DFW has an outsized impact on the rest of the airlineโ€™s operation and on the journeys of the nearly 700,000 customers the airline serves every day across its global network. More customers and more bags travel and connect through DFW every day than any other airport in Americanโ€™s network โ€” with more than 30% of all daily connecting customers and daily connecting checked bags traveling through the airlineโ€™s hometown airport. When DFW runs well, American runs well. That impact demands continued focus and investment, and both are already well underway. The airline is investing millions of dollars to fortify DFW, delivering:

  • Smoother, seamlessย airport experiences
  • Greater certaintyย to schedules and connections
  • Improved resilienceย when weather or other disruptions hit

Restructuring DFW today for the customer journeys of tomorrow

For more than a decade, Americanโ€™s schedule at DFW has been concentrated across nine banks, or large clusters of flights across the operating day. As all airline bank structures do, this times large groups of flights together, coordinating arrivals and departures, and ultimately, coordinating quick and seamless connections.

Beginning in April โ€” and visible in the airlineโ€™s schedules starting Dec. 27 โ€” Americanโ€™s DFW operation is evolving to a 13-bank structure, providing more certainty to the airlineโ€™s average 100,000 peak daily customers traveling on the more than 930 average peak DFW daily departing flights.

With this structural schedule change, customers will also benefit from more improved early-morning departure times compared to 2025. Specifically, they will experience more departure options in highly desired time windows and fewer early morning departures to DFW, which is especially good news for customers making morning connections through DFW.

Adding even more trip certainty

In addition to the airlineโ€™s DFW schedule, American is making a bold and unprecedented investment in block time for flights to and from DFW and across the airlineโ€™s network. Block time โ€” the total scheduled time between pushback from the departure gate to arrival at the destination gate โ€” determines how long a customerโ€™s trip feels.

With this investment in Americanโ€™s customers, the airline is ensuring more on-time departures that lead to more on-time arrivals and fewer delays, all creating an overall smoother and improved travel experience. In short, American is bolstering its ability to get its customers and their bags where theyโ€™re going and on time.

Maximizing connections, minimizing disruptions

  • Improved customer connection times:ย American is making it easier to connect through DFW. While customers will still have the flexibility to book tight connections when time matters โ€”especially for business travelers โ€” the schedule enhancements provide more options for a stress-free experience. Americanโ€™s new structure at DFW reduces the concentration of very short connection times, creating more balance that offers customers greater confidence when planning their journey.
  • More connection opportunities:ย The new bank structure keeps nearly all existing connection opportunities in addition to creating new opportunities across the airlineโ€™s most-connected hub airport.
  • Itโ€™s great for bags, too:ย Just as customer connections will improve, so, too, will checked bag connections. That means even more bags arriving with customers, and in many cases, arriving ahead of customers. American has doubled down on checked bag management over the past few years, and this fundamental shift at DFW further strengthens the work already being experienced by customers.
  • Airspace efficiency:ย Whatโ€™s good on the ground is also good in the air. By reflowing Americanโ€™s DFW schedule, the airline is helping make the airspace around the DFW metroplex even more efficient, meaning fewer air traffic delays and more on-time departures and arrivals for customers.

Improving the overall airport experience

As American spreads out its DFW flight schedule across the day, the airline is also spreading out customer volume, including everything from local customers arriving in parking garages, checking in at lobbies and clearing security to connecting customers making their way through Americanโ€™s terminals to their next flights.

These changes are on top of a number of other critical investments to further enhance the customer experience when traveling through Americanโ€™s Flagship hub, and importantly, enabling future growth, which means more flight and destination options for our customers. That includes:

  • Modernizing Americanโ€™s facilities and airport terminals, including Terminal A and C Pier extensions adding nine incremental gates.
  • Expanding Americanโ€™s DFW footprint with theย addition of Terminal F. When completed in 2030, the airline will operate all 31 new gates in the terminal with increased widebody capacity, state of the art baggage technology and dedicated premium lounges, Flagship check-in and a new U.S. Customs facility.
  • Streamlining the airport security experience through new and innovative programs in partnership with the Transportation Security Administration and U.S. Customs and Border Protection. TSA PreCheck Touchless ID is allowing customers at DFW (and 16 other locations across Americanโ€™s broad U.S. network) to use facial recognition technology for more secure and efficient identity verification. And with Enhanced Passenger Processing and One Stop Security โ€” of which,American was the first U.S. airline to roll outย โ€” customers arriving into and connecting through DFW from international travel are experiencing record fast U.S. immigration processing times along with a much-improved connection to their next flight.
  • Reimagining traffic flow, in coordination with DFW Airport, to provide a seamless travel experience pre- and post-flight. Critical updates to the vehicle traffic flow went live right ahead of the winter holiday travel season.

Recovering even better when bad weather hits

No other airline recovers from bad weather and irregular operations better than American, and the airline has demonstrated that time and time again. Having the airlineโ€™s largest hub at DFW provides immeasurable benefits to Americanโ€™s customers and the broader airline, including the ability to easily connect through an airport centrally located in the U.S.

With all the benefits DFW brings, it has also recently experienced a disproportionate amount of bad weather, particularly thunderstorms that can require the entire airport to be paused until the conditions clear. When that happens in the future, this new schedule structure will provide far greater resilience and less adverse impact, allowing American to recover even quicker and get customers on their way as soon as the weather clears.

โ€œOur investment in operational resilience extends beyond our DFW schedule,โ€ said Moses. โ€œWe know the negative impact flight diversions have on our customers. Theyโ€™re also incredibly disruptive to the broader airline, especially as they create congestion at airports which often limits our ability to get aircraft to a gate and importantly, deplane customers.โ€

At DFW, American is investing millions of dollars in additional remote deplaning capability (everything from equipment and bussing to staffing) that allows the airline to most importantly, divert fewer flights away from DFW.

Americanโ€™s growing Chicago hub

American will offer more than 500 daily departures from Chicago (ORD) next summer as part of its continued commitment to the hub. The airline has added new service to more than 25 destinations from ORD and added frequencies in other markets this year, making the airport one of the fastest-growing hubs in the country. With this momentum, American is focused on thoughtfully growing its ORD network to more than 180 destinations and adding more flights in popular markets.

This growth will continue in 2026 with the addition of service to Erie, Pennsylvania (ERI); Lincoln, Nebraska (LNK); and Tri-Cities, Tennessee (TRI). And, as customers have positively responded to Americanโ€™s winter network, the airline will extend winter-only offerings to Santa Fe, New Mexico (SAF) and Key West, Florida (EYW) into the summer between May 21 and Sept. 8.

Separately, American will also expand summer service from ORD to Hilton Head, South Carolina (HHH), and to Pensacola (PNS) and Panama City (ECP) in Florida. Previously operated only on the weekends, flights to these cities will operate daily between Feb. 12 and Sept. 8.

American will continue to grow options for Chicagoans to travel with increased frequencies across the airlineโ€™s network. In the spring, American will increase departures by more than 30% compared to 2025, offering more than 480 peak daily departures from ORD just in time for spring break.

All destinations served from ORD this spring will return next year, making American the only hub carrier at the airport to achieve this feat. As part of its demonstrated investment in Chicago, the airline will offer more than 25 additional destinations next spring versus 2025, including a mix of new destinations and seasonal routes that will start earlier.

All of Americanโ€™s flights from ORD operate with dual-class aircraft, giving customers the opportunity to enhance their travel experience with the selection of a premium cabin. In addition, Americanโ€™s ORD to London (LHR) route will continue to offer Flagship Suiteยฎ seats for customers. Chicago was the first city in Americanโ€™s network to receive this elevated premium offering.

Connecting smaller cities with the world

Traveling across the country and around the world will be easier than before on Americanโ€™s global network. Starting June 4, American will add service to its 240th destination in the U.S.: Lincoln, Nebraska (LNK). No other airline serves as many domestic destinations as American, and now residents from LNK will have competitive one-stop service to international destinations such as Athens, Greece (ATH); Cancun, Mexico (CUN); Rome (FCO) and Sao Paulo (GRU).

In the Western U.S., American will grow its Phoenix (PHX) hub with seven new routes. New service to Bozeman, Montana (BZN); Kalispell, Montana (FCA); and Rapid City, South Dakota (RAP) will make it easier for travelers from states including California, Nevada and Arizona to get to national parks, monuments and more. Meanwhile, new flights to Abilene (ABI) and McAllen (MFE) in Texas will provide travelers one-stop access to destinations across the Western U.S. and Mexico.

This growth is part of Americanโ€™s consistent commitment to powering global access through its hubs. Recently, the airline launched service to cities including Carlsbad, California (CLD); Golden Triangle, Mississippi (GTR); Santa Maria, California (SMX); and Sun Valley, Idaho (SUN). In 2026, the airline will also be the only airline connecting the U.S. with Bimini, Bahamas (BIM), and will add service to Vero Beach, Florida (VRB).

Collectively, Americanโ€™s hub airports power global access to more than 350 destinations around the world served by the airline. Together with Americanโ€™s airline partners, customers can access more than 1,000 destinations.

American Airlines to renovate additional Admirals Club lounge in Washington, D.C.

American Airlines is renovating its popular Admirals Clubยฎ lounge in Concourse D of Reagan National Airport (DCA). The renovated lounge will span more than 10,000 square feet, adding approximately 50% more seating and giving customers more room to recharge and relax ahead of their journey.

The redesigned lounge will take design inspiration from the city, including local design elements that reflect the rich history of Washington, D.C. It will also feature airside views of the United States Capitol and Washington Monument.

American operates more than 255 peak daily flights out of DCA, connecting customers to more than 90 destinations. The airline remains committed to serving the D.C. community and delivering a world-class travel experience.

This project will result in the second fully refurbished Admirals Clubยฎ lounge for American at DCA, reinforcing the companyโ€™s broader commitment to elevating the premium customer experience. Construction is targeted to begin in early 2026. During construction, the current lounge space will close, and customers will continue to be able to access the Admirals Clubยฎ lounges in Concourses C and E.

Americanโ€™s plans to upgrade its DCA lounge offering is the latest in a series of investments reflecting its commitment to enhancing the customer experience, with news earlier this year of additional Admirals Clubยฎ lounges, plus new Flagshipยฎ lounges in both Charlotte and Miami.

American Airlines honors 2025 Circle of Excellence winners

American Airlines proudly celebrates the 100 recipients of its most prestigious career achievement award โ€” the Circle of Excellence โ€” for their exceptional contributions to Americanโ€™s operation, customers and the communities it serves. These elite team members exemplify Americanโ€™s core values, demonstrating the leadership, strategic innovation and undeniable excellence that drive the airlineโ€™s success every day.

This yearโ€™s honorees are an exclusive group of professionals who set โ€” and hold โ€” the highest standard across our global network. Their impact reaches every corner of the business, and their service and selflessness are an inspiration to both customers and their fellow team members.

A celebration under the wings

The two-day Circle of Excellence celebration in Dallas-Fort Worth last month included an award ceremony gala at the Winspear Opera House attended by Americanโ€™s senior leaders, including CEO Robert Isom. A surprise highlight this year was a hangar luncheon under the wings of Americanโ€™s Boeing 777 bearing the recently revealed heritage livery that celebrates the companyโ€™s upcoming 100th birthday in 2026.

During the event, Isom expressed his appreciation for the honoreesโ€™ career-long impact to the airline. โ€œThis is my fourth time hosting this ceremony, and itโ€™s always one of my favorite nights of the year,โ€ said Isom. โ€œTonight, we celebrate the very best of American by honoring 100 of you, nominated and hand-selected by your colleagues and leaders for this prestigious recognition. Youโ€™re now part of an exclusive group โ€” less than 1% of our team members receive this recognition. Thatโ€™s rare air, and you should be proud.โ€

For many honorees, the Circle of Excellence recognition was deeply personal and surprising, even after decades of above-and-beyond service and commitment. Christopher Ortega, DFW-based Maintenance Control Technician for Boeing 777 and 787 aircraft, was in disbelief when he heard he was a 2025 recipient after 37 years at American. โ€œI never thought winning would be possible. I didnโ€™t believe it. Every day I give my all, and I know many other people who work just as hard as I do and are worthy of this award, too.โ€

The selection process

A panel of former honorees and leaders conducted a rigorous evaluation to select the top 100 nominations from those submitted by team members and leaders. Each winner received a commemorative pin, a trophy and $10,000, recognizing their lasting contributions to Americanโ€™s success.

Together, they represent more than 2,700 years of combined service, with an average tenure of 27 years, and hail from 12 countries: Brazil, Denmark, the Dominican Republic, France, Guatemala, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, the United Kingdom and the United States.

American Airlines is ready to welcome millions of holiday travelers

American Airlines is ready to welcome more than 12 million customers this winter holiday season across more than 119,000 flights โ€” a larger schedule that provides customers more choices than in 2024.

Americanโ€™s operation is fully ready for the winter weather. The team has spent months preparing for deicing operations at key cold-weather airports such as Chicago Oโ€™Hare International Airport (ORD) and Boston Logan Airport (BOS). The airlineโ€™s aircraft and facilities are winterized to ensure that customers and team members stay warm during the winter cold.

Delivering for our customers

American Airlines partners with the Gary Sinise Foundation to host 20th annual Snowball Express

American Airlines announced on December 4 that it has joined forces once again with the Gary Sinise Foundation (GSF) to support the annual Gary Sinise Foundation Snowball Express. Now in its 20th year, the annual event is dedicated to honoring the families of both fallen U.S. military service members and first responders.ย

Over two weeks in December, American will donate 16 charter aircraft and millions of AAdvantageยฎ miles to bring more than 2,600 family members to Walt Disney World Resort for an all-expenses-paid experience. Families will travel from 29 departure cities across the globe โ€” spanning Alaska and Hawaii to Germany, Guam and more.

On Saturday, Dec. 6, American will coordinate air and ground transportation for nearly 1,600 families of fallen military heroes. Ten charter flights will depart from 21 cities across the country, heading to Orlando International Airport (MCO). One week later, on Saturday, Dec. 13, six additional charter flights will transport approximately 1,000 family members of fallen First Responders from eight departure cities.

โ€œThe mission of Snowball Express is to unite the families of the fallen and create new happy memories during the holiday season. This is just one of many ways American continues to honor the families of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice,โ€ said Randy Stillinger, Americanโ€™s Manager of Military and Veterans Initiatives. โ€œThrough our partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation, we want to remind these families that their loved onesโ€™ service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.โ€

Each year, more than 1,000 American Airlines team members dedicate their time to bring this magical event to life. This includes pilots and flight attendants who donate their days off as well as airport teams who organize special send-off ceremonies and memorable inflight experiences. Their dedication reflects Americanโ€™s ongoing commitment to honoring the legacies of those who have served, while supporting their families with compassion, care and a bit of holiday cheer this season.

American Airlines honors veterans with a month of service and support

In recognition of Veterans Day and in celebration of the service and sacrifice of our nationโ€™s heroes, American Airlines supported a series of events throughout the month of November to honor and celebrate those who served.

These efforts are part of Americanโ€™s ongoing commitment to the U.S. Armed Forces community, including military veterans and active-duty service members. Events throughout the month of November included:

  • Salute to Service with the Los Angeles Chargers (Nov. 9)
As the presenting sponsor of the L.A. Chargersโ€™ annual Salute to Service game, American presented the Military Hero of the Game. Bill Dillon, a 101-year-old World War II veteran and the last surviving member of the USS Sailfish, was honored on field. Dillon is a decorated hero, having received two Bronze Stars and contributed to the development of the first GPS system and the launch of the United Statesโ€™ first space satellite.
  • Faces of Freedom with the Texas Rangers (Nov. 13)
In partnership with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, American hosted veterans for a three-day trip to Washington, D.C., as part of the Rangersโ€™ย Faces of Freedom program presented by American Airlines. Established in 2022, theย Faces of Freedomย program seeks to honor past and present members of the U.S. military. This yearโ€™s trip included 15 veterans representing four branches of the U.S. military, with recipients of the Purple Heart and Operation Enduring Freedom medals among them.
  • Salute to the Troops in Las Vegas (Nov. 14)
In partnership with USO and MGM Resorts International, American flew 75 service members from Washington, D.C., to Las Vegas for a weekend filled with sightseeing, dinners, shows and a concert by actor and singer-songwriter Mark Collie, seen in the hit TV show โ€œLandman.โ€
  • Seats for Heroes with the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles (Nov. 23)ย
American, along with its partners at the Dallas Cowboys, hosted 40 military patients from Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) in San Antonio, Texas, for a VIP game day experience. American operated a private charter to transport attendees to Dallas-Fort Worth where they were greeted with a heroesโ€™ welcome upon arrival and enjoyed the game in a private suite.
  • Welcoming Home Vietnam Veterans (Nov. 28)
American supported a journey of remembrance for 10 veterans returning to Saigon, Vietnam, in collaboration with Veterans United Home Loans and actor/humanitarian Gary Sinise. The 10-day trip allowed the group to retrace their steps and reflect on their experiences more than 50 years after their service. The group, which included one of 61 living recipients of the Medal of Honor, was welcomed home with a celebration at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).

Throughout the entire year, American is proud to honor active service members and veterans โ€” including more than 11,000 of its own team members.
