Delta agrees to sell Compass Airlines to Trans States Airlines

Delta Air Lines (Atlanta) today (July 1) announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell is wholly owned regional airline subsidiary Compass Airlines (Minneapolis/St. Paul) to Trans States Holdings, Inc. (Trans States Airlines) (St. Louis) for $20.5 million.

Compass will continue to serve Delta as a Delta Connection carrier with a long-term, extendable agreement, ranging from seven to 12 years depending on aircraft type. Compass will continue to be headquartered in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Republic Airlines’ N103HQ is slightly damaged at Providence

US Airways Express Flight US 3315, an Embraer 170-200LR (ERJ 175) N103HQ (msn 17000159) bound for Philadelphia yesterday and operated by Republic Airlines (2nd), was being pushed away from a gate by an airline employee when it hit the empty, stationary US Airways Flight US 815, an Airbus A321 (N190UW) bound for Charlotte as flight US 815.

There were no injuries to the 36 on board the Republic flight, but the starboard side winglet took the brunt of the damage on the Embraer, while the A321 suffered damaged to the APU doors at the base of the tail.

LOT Polish Airlines to operate the Embraer ERJ 195

LOT Polish Airlines (Warsaw) has converted four Embraer ERJ 175s for four larger ERJ 195s. Deliveries will start next year.
