AirTran Airways (Orlando and Atlanta) posted a net profit of $78.4 million for the second quarter.  This represents a reversal of $98.3 million from the same quarter a year.

In other news, the company will launch Harrisburg-Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Boeing 717 service on November 5. The new route will operate three times a week.
