Jat Airways’ (Belgrade) Boeing 737-3H9 YU-ANV (msn 24140) skidded off the runway at Istanbul (Ataturk) yesterday (October 4) on landing.  The aircraft was on a flight from Belgrade. There were no injuries to the 125 passengers and six crew. The aircraft is a probable insurance write off. The company has recently been facing a strike by Jat Tehnika, its technical division. The Jat Airways fleet is also one of the oldest in Europe.
