Locair to start scheduled flights to the Bahamas today

Locair (Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood) today (November 18) launches scheduled Swearingen (Fairchild) Metro flights to the Bahamas from Florida. The first route links FLL with Stella Maris on Long Island. The company started operations on December 27, 2008 as Air Azul between Nashville and Somerset, KY (however it ended on March 20, 2009). The company has changed its operating name to Locair to avoid any confusion with jetBlue Airways.
