QANTAS is the first airline to operate an Airbus A380 over Antarctica with paying customers

QANTAS Airways (Sydney) conducted an Airbus A380 sightseeing charter flight over Antarctica to ring in the new year. QF becomes the first airline to operate the type over the southern continent with revenue passengers. However this is already the third flight of an Airbus A380 over the Southern Continent.
