JAL is against filing for bankruptcy protection, now favors Delta over American

JAL-Japan Airlines’ (Tokyo-Haneda) president (Haruka Nishimatsu) stated he is against a bankruptcy filing under a state restructuring plan and has no plans to completely withdraw JAL from international flights, the Asahi Shimbun reported.

In an interview conducted on Friday and published on Sunday, the Asahi also said Nishimatsu preferred Delta Air Lines as the carrier’s overseas partner over American Airlines.
